What is this service?
The Gardening Group gives young people the opportunity to spend time outdoors, try something practical and have a real role in developing their local youth space. Activities may include planting, preparing and maintaining outdoor areas, creating and improving features within the space and working on seasonal gardening projects.
The group is a chance to learn through doing, develop practical skills and work collaboratively with others, It can also provide a positive opportunity to spend time away from screens, build confidence and take ownership of a space that young people use, Sessions will be supported by Hyde Park Source, with activities adapted to suit different interests, abilities and level of experience.

The building is a one storey brick house at 35 Ramshead Approach, next to the turning for the dump.

Wednesday Gardening Group is a hands-on session where young people can get involved in improving and renovating the outdoor space at Imagination Station. Working alongside Hyde Park Source, Participants can learn practical gardening and outdoor skills, get creative and work as part of a team while helping to make the space somewhere everyone can enjoy. No previous gardening experience is needed - Just come along and get involved.
