Yorkshire Dance Youth are our free weekly dance classes for young people aged 10 -18 who live in East Leeds. Our classes are taught by professional dancers Emily and Freya who will teach you the latest move each week, working together to create new routines. The classes are relaxed and fun and open to anybody – even if you’ve never danced before.
If you'd like to come along to the class, you can call Ione on 0113 243 9867, email on [email protected], or text on 07858464758. Or, just turn up!
When you come to your first session, we will give you an enrollment form and take an emergency contact number. This helps us to keep you updated if there are any changes to the class for any reason, and to tell you about exciting new things we're planning to do.
Wear anything you feel comfortable moving in and don't mind being on the floor. We recommend trainers for dancing in.
When I first came in I was a bit scared cos I'd never met anyone. When I started dancing I felt more confident about being around people!
