What is this club?

Brave Words Youth Theatres are all about making your child/young person feel seen, heard and enabling them to express their ideas and creativity. Our groups work as child-led ensembles to tell the stories our members want to tell. Sessions start with fun and often very silly drama warm up games! And then drama exercises to spark the wildest imaginations. The children and young people get to make decisions around the themes we explore, the stories we tell, and the characters that they play!

We are a pay-what-you-can group because we don't believe anyone's financial status should stop them from accessing high quality arts provision. That's why we work in the heart of communities to ensure more people have access to opportunities such as performing on the largest stage at Leeds Playhouse; something our youth theatres have done for 3 years in a row now!

What people say

"She hasn't been able to access other classes before because she's so shy. She loves it here. She really comes out of her shell."
