About the event
Grafting has been done for centuries and is the most commonly used fruit tree propagation method used today. With some simple tools and a bit of practice, anyone can learn this age old skill. Join us at Seacroft Community Forest Garden to learn all about grafting and take home 2 apple trees made by you!
You will learn:
- What grafting is and why we do it
- Sourcing the necessary tools and materials
- 2 different types of grafting cuts
- Aftercare of newly grafted trees
All tools and materials will be provided. The event will be held outdoors and we will mostly be sitting down, so please dress warmly!
